These guides go into detail:<\/p>\n\n\n\n In Milan the right question is not “centre or suburbs” but how close you are to the metro. The network has five lines and covers practically every point of interest, the exhibition centre and the stadium included: a semi-central neighbourhood with a station downstairs is more convenient than a central address far from public transport, and it costs noticeably less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A car in the city is more of a problem than a solution, between the Area C charge, restricted traffic zones and expensive parking: if you are driving, check first whether your accommodation has a space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Milan is a city for every season, and each one has its own reason to come.
